By using Open Decks Worldwide (the "Site"), you agree to the following terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

What this is

Open Decks Worldwide is a free, community-maintained directory of open decks DJ events around the world. It's a hobby project, not a business, and it comes with no guarantees.

No accounts, no user data

The Site has no user accounts, logins, or sign-ups. We don't ask you to create a profile, and there's nothing to delete because there's nothing to begin with — see the Privacy Policy for the small amount of information involved in event submissions.

Submitting an event or venue

You can submit a venue or event in two ways:

• Via GitHub — by opening a pull request against the project's public repository. Anything submitted this way (including your GitHub username, commit history, and any comments) is publicly visible on GitHub, subject to GitHub's own Terms of Service and Privacy Statement.
• Via email — by emailing the submission address in the site footer. Submissions are reviewed and, once verified, published to the Site as a venue/event listing. We do not publish your name, email address, or any other sender information alongside the listing.

By submitting a venue or event, you confirm that:

• the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge,
• you have the right to share it (e.g., it's public information about a public event, not private or confidential), and
• you grant us permission to publish, edit, and display it on the Site under the project's open-source license.

We may edit, decline, or remove any submission for any reason, including inaccurate information, spam, or requests from the venue involved.

Accuracy of information

Event details — dates, times, addresses, recurrence, gear, cost, age requirements — change often and are maintained by volunteers. Everything on the Site is provided "as-is" and "as-available," with no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or that a listed event is still happening. Always confirm details (especially date, time, and whether an event is still running) directly with the venue or the event's own page (e.g., Facebook) before showing up.

Third-party links and content

The Site links out to third-party sites (venue websites, social media, Facebook events, OpenStreetMap, etc.). We don't control and aren't responsible for the content, availability, or practices of those sites.

No liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and its maintainers are not liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from your use of the Site or reliance on information found on it — including outdated event details, venue closures, or inaccuracies in submitted listings.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the project evolves. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
